Tattydays Is Making A Comeback!

Hello everyone! It's been a while. I've taken a massive break and to be honest have suffered from massive writers block! We all go through it, I've probably just taken a bit longer to get over it than most people.  However, baby I am back! And I'm so excited about it. I've got a proper schedule together now and loads of post ideas I'm so excited to share with you all. I've got 2 posts scheduled to come out after this one! I know, this is serious, keep calm!  Just going to lay all my cards out and let you know that I'm not going to promise I'll be uploading 3 posts a week or some crazy schedule that some of you lovely lot manage to stick to, but I am going to be doing a lot more posts, sharing lots of little things that I love. There are so many bloggers I know that try to juggle a full time job, a blogging schedule and an actual life in the middle of it all. It is hard work but I'm over it, and it's happening so be prepared!  I'll be doing a lot of fashion and beauty posts as those are the things I love to talk about the most. But I will be throwing in a few more lifestyle bits as well and just lots of general rambles of my life that I feel I need to get off my chest - and the world wide web is the best place to do that, obviously!  I am also in the process of giving my blog a reshuffle around and bring it up to date so there is that excitement all to come, watch this space!    So, there is me. I'm coming back to it and I just wanted to do this post to let you know that I've not totally neglected my little internet corner and there will be a lot more to come in the coming months.

Halloween Fun!

Hey guys! Hope you are all well and you've had a great Halloween!  Halloween is like the epitome of Autumn I feel, the whole season leads up to it and as soon as it's over Christmas takes over! Therefore, it has to be made the most out of and getting all dressed up and hitting the town is the perfect way to celebrate! This year my friends and I went up to Huddersfield to visit our friend there - we were celebrating his 21st birthday as well as Halloween and it was great! We all made such a great effort which just made the whole event much more special. Getting over dressed up for Halloween has got to be done in my books and so, I wanted to share with you some of the outfits and pictures from the night. Granted, there aren't as many as I'd initially hoped for but we were having so much fun, we found it hard to find the time to take lots!  On with the pics... 

Here I am as Alice In Wonderland. I know I'm not blonde so I probably didn't pull it off as well as it should have been. However it is my favourite classic Disney film and therefore I just had to give it a try. I loved the outfit so much, I paired it with some stripey stockings just to give the feel of weird-ness to the outfit. Smothered my face in makeup and blood and went out looking like I'd been attacked... that's the aim though right?! 

My handsome twinny made a very convincing Captain Jack Sparrow! He actually probably made the best effort out of all of us, and it pulled off SO well on the night! He even dyed his beard, stuck beard extensions on with super glue AND sourced a handmade replica wig all the way from the land of Oz! Great effort and he looked incredible! On the left is the lovely birthday boy himself! To the right, one of my longest standing high school friends, like a second brother. They went as two zombified priests (if you can't tell already?) This was before all the alcohol mess, when our makeup actually looked half decent! I love how genuinely terrifying we look! A* for effort!

I had to put this one up. Not one of the most civilised of pictures but my friend on the left probably had my favourite costume of the night. Not one for going all out and dressing up for Halloweeen, he crafted himself a 3D pumpkin head and wore it out on the town. Best thing ever and he did look adorable! My friend on the right played the part of Ali G - very well might I just add. He was stopped the most when we were out by passers by admiring his costume!

And there we have it! Not as many pictures as I did hope I would get but at the end of the day we all had so much fun and I couldn't wait to share it all with you! This has actually been my first really personal blog post, I've just realised! I don't normally let you into my group but on this occasion I was so happy with my favourite time of the year I just had to share it all with you! What do you think of us all? Are you terrified? Clinique Summer Gift!

Guys - I've been shopping! As I am going on holiday soon, topping up on beauty supplies is essential and also a great excuse to buy things that I don't necessarily really need. This came in the form of lovely Clinique products this week.  I was in need of some Mascara anyway, and the High Impact mascara from Clinique is my all time fave! It goes on with a few simple sweeps and leaves my lashes looking fuller and longer in a few seconds - what more could a girl want from a mascara? Obviously once I wondered over to the counter and found there was a summer gift in store, I knew there was more money going to be spent that originally anticipated! 

To qualify for the gift, you have to purchase two products, one of them has to be skin care. I settled for this redness solutions moisturizer. I could never get into moisturizer growing up when I should have but this one has always worked wonders for me and really reduces the appearance of redness on my skin - perfect for an acne sufferer! I do have to admit this wasn't a necessity buy - but for the summer gift it was totally worth it!

The gift is gorgeous and includes some great summer treats! I love the lip balm crayon. It is one of my favourite lip products anyway so getting it as a gift is a great bonus. It's quite a subtle colour so feels lovely and light for the spring/summer months but it is also a deep enough shade to use for any occasion. And it apply's great moisture to your lips - perfect for the unpredictable weather of the UK!

Included in the pack among others is a really cute nail varnish. I'm not usually one to go for 'hot pink' colours but this one looks great and really summery so I will definitely be trying this out. 

Also included is the 'Take The Day Off' make up remover which is one of my all time favourite products simply because it is insanely good and removes any kind of make up really easily. It also leaves my skin feeling great and thoroughly cleaned, which is sometimes rare with other make up removers. I usually feel that I have to add cleanser and toner after using other removers but with this one, I can just get away with a light toner.   A 'Rinse off Cleansing Foam', 'Custom Repair Serum', a 'Moisture Surge' are also in this great packed bag all of which I am yet to try from the Clinique range so really looking forward to this little lot. I'm super excited to review these and so in love with my buys and summer gift. I think there is always some thrill in getting to review products that are free!  Get yourself down to a Clinique counter to claim yours.
